How to qualify for the WCF?

The Qualification for the ISSF World Cup Final 2024 is possible by gaining ranking points through the ISSF Ranking System.

Each athlete, who is officially registered to compete in an ISSF World Cup by his/her National Federation – ISSF Member Federation – can qualify for the ISSF World Cup Final in one (1) or more events.

At the end of the ISSF World Cup Series of 2024, the top six (6) athletes in each event with the highest ranking points values for ISSF World Cups 2024 (points from Olympic Games, Continental Championships/Games and Grand Prix do NOT count), according to the ranking list will qualify for the ISSF World Cup Final. Within one (1) event, only a maximum of two (2) athletes per nation will be permitted to compete in the ISSF World Cup Final.

Apart from this qualification system, the three (3) Medalists of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 as well as the Title Defender of the ISSF World Cup Final Doha 2023 will have the right to compete without qualification. The rule of only a maximum of two (2) athletes per nation in one (1) event will not apply to these athletes.

If the Title Defender is also a Medalists, the top seven (7) athletes in that specific event will qualify.

If one of these athletes has already qualified through the ISSF World Cup Ranking or if a nation has more than the maximum of two athletes per event, the qualification will then go to the next ranked athlete in the ISSF World Cup Ranking.

If an athlete (incl. Medalists / Title Defender) is refusing the participation, the next ranked athlete will be invited.

Wild Cards

Up to two (2) athletes may represent the organizing National Federation in each of the twelve (12) events in the ISSF World Cup Final 2024.

To receive a Wild Card, the organizing National Federation must apply to the ISSF Headquarters by nominating the athletes who are to receive the Wild Cards, at least 30 days before the scheduled arrival day. The application must provide the athletes’ names, ISSF ID numbers and the event in which each athlete will participate.
