Asia is the world's largest and most populous continent with over 4 billion people and more than half the world's population. Therefore, It is not a surprise though as Asia is home to some of the best shooters in the world. Members of the Asian Shooting Confederation have produced world-class shooters who distinguished themselves by winning podiums at the highest level, namely the Olympic Games, the ISSF World Championships abf the ISSF World Cups.
At the XXIX Olympic Games of Beijing, a member of the Asian Shooting Confederation, the People’s Republic of China representative, won the highest number of medals in the shooting sport, highlighting once again the excellent result reached by the confederation.
The Asian shooting Confederation actively organizes the Asian Shooting Championship (ASC). Inaugurated in 1967, the championships has steadily grown in stature and status. From its humble beginnings 42 years ago, it has emerged as one the premier continental championships.
