Medal standings after 9 of 15 events

Let's discover the medal standings in the Olympic competitions of the shooting sports after 9 out of 15 events.

After the first five days of competitions, when the first nine out of fifteen events have taken place, China holds solidly the first place in the medal standings. This result came thanks to three Gold medals won by the Pistol team coached by the 2004 Olympic Champion WANG Yifu.
Czech Republic keeps following in second, with the first Gold medal of the 2008 Games gained by Katerina EMMONS and the Trap Men's podium of David KOSTELECKY.
Korea climbed this special ranking to the third place, lifted by the 30-year old pistol master JIN, winner of the 50m Pistol Men event and Silver medallist at the 10m Air Pistol competition.
