Super 25 Ranking: the Olympic favourites discovered

The ISSF NEWS magazine tries to find the answer to a crucial question: who are the favourites of the Olympic Games? The only way to face this question is to look at mathematical statistics, and to draw a ranking. The Super 25 Ranking, which spots out some athletes that may finish in the limelight in a few days.

The entry lists are discovered, and only eight days are missing before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games of Beijing. 390 participants coming from 103 countries are going to compete on the ranges of the Olympic shooting venue, and many readers asked a question: is it possible to spot out the favourites? Well, It is never easy to deal with favourites when speaking about the Olympic Games: as most experts say, this is a competition different from any other. All the Olympians have the capabilities to finish upon the podium, and the minds and the hearts will make the difference. When emotions are on the stage, numbers are the only way to draw a ranking, and the ISSF NEWS magazine made its attempt with the “Super 25” ranking based on statistics of the last years.
The Olympic Champions of Athens will have to fight hard to confirm their leaderships: favourites, besides the hosting country, are coming from the Russian Federation, Germany, Italy, USA, Sweden, Serbia and Belarus.
