Looking back at a long World Cup Final career, Giovanni Pellielo, 35, from Italy managed today for the sixth time to win this competition in the Trap Men event.

From 1992 until 2004 Pellielo had won five Gold, four Silver and one Bronze medals at ISSF World Cup Finals. Pellielo, also Olympic Silver medallist of Athens 2004 qualified for Dubai 2005 with his Gold medal at this year’s fist ISSF World Cup in Changwon, took home the first place after only missing three final targets.
Today’s second place went to Alexey Alipov, 30, from Russia. The Olympic Gold medal winner of Athens 2004, started the final with same score as Pellielo, but after missing four targets he won the Trap Men’s Silver medal. In third place followed last year’s World Cup title defender of Maribor Adam Vella, 34, from Australia, who missed just as Alipov four final targets, adding his qualification round score of 122 to a final of 143.
