The championship brings together 57 athletes from 19 countries, representing 19 ISSF Member Federations, with 116 starts registered across the programme. The first finals are scheduled for Saturday, 17 October, marking the start of three days of medal competition.

The championship features six official World Championship medal events: 300m Rifle 3 Positions Men (individual and team), 300m Rifle Prone Men (individual and team), 300m Rifle Prone Women (individual) and 300m Standard Rifle Open.
The 300m Rifle 3 Positions Women event will also take place during the competition, although its results will not count towards the official World Championship medal standings.
The finals will take place on 17, 18 and 19 October, as athletes compete for world titles across the official medal events.

The 300m Rifle World Championship follows directly after the ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol in Cairo, which concluded on 15 October. Both competitions are being held at the same venue: the Shooting Ranges of Egypt’s International Olympic City in the New Administrative Capital.

The back-to-back events keep Cairo at the centre of the international shooting calendar in October, bringing athletes and delegations together for two major competitions.
The ISSF World Championship 300m Rifle runs from 15 to 20 October 2026, with the finals scheduled for 17–19 October. Live results for all events are available on the official ISSF website.
