ISSF Athletes Committee candidates for 2026–2030 announced

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has announced the candidates standing for election to the ISSF Athletes Committee for the 2026–2030 term, following the completion of the nomination process.

The Athletes Committee plays an important role in ensuring that the voice of athletes is represented within the ISSF, with its six members serving as representatives of the three shooting disciplines. A total of 22 athletes from 20 Member Federations have been nominated, representing Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun.

The candidates are:

Rifle

- Riccardo Armiraglio (Italy)
- Barbora Dubska (Czech Republic)
- Yarimar Mercado Martinez (Puerto Rico)
- Istvan Peni (Hungary)
- Julia Ewa Piotrowska (Poland)
- Cassio Rippel (Brazil)
- Peter Sidi (Romania)

Pistol

- Anton Aristarkhov (Russia)
- Manu Bhaker (India)
- Martin Freije Torneiro (Spain)
- Vahid Golkhandan (Iran)
- Antoaneta Kostadinova (Bulgaria)
- Olena Kostevych (Ukraine)
- Yuehong Li (China)
- Christian Reitz (Germany)
- Jong-Ho Song (Republic of Korea)
- Sevval Ilayda Tarhan (Türkiye)

Shotgun

- HRH Prince Saud Al Saud (Saudi Arabia)

The six elected athletes will serve on the ISSF Athletes Committee for the 2026–2030 term, with two representatives elected from each discipline, in accordance with the ISSF Constitution.
Athletes to vote during Cairo and Doha competition days

The election will take place during the competition days of the ISSF World Championship 300m Rifle in Cairo, from 17–19 October 2026, and the ISSF World Championship Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun in Doha, from 3–13 November 2026.

All athletes who are at least 18 years old and actively participating as athletes at either of these World Championships will be eligible to vote.

Each eligible athlete can vote for a maximum of six candidates, with up to two candidates from each discipline. Each athlete may vote only once.

Online voting

The election will be conducted online, following a decision by the ISSF Executive Committee.
