Italy’s Luca Gerri and Valentina Archetti combined for a record-setting performance to win the Trap Mixed Team Junior title, equalling the World Record Junior in the final and closing the ISSF Junior World Cup Shotgun in Porpetto.

The final day of the ISSF Junior World Cup Shotgun in Porpetto ended with a World Record Junior performance, as Italy 1’s Luca Gerri and Valentina Archetti equalled the World Record Junior with a score of 35 to take the Trap Mixed Team Junior gold medal.

The Italian pair started strongly and maintained their advantage throughout the final, finishing one hit ahead of France 1. Thomas Agez and Jeanne Auriche combined for 34 to take silver.

Individual Neutral Athlete 1, represented by Timur Gataullin and Dara Chupina, finished third with 26 hits, while India 1’s Zuhair Khan and Sabeera Haris placed fourth on 14.
A record equalled in the final

Gerri and Archetti’s 35-hit performance was marked as EWRJ in the official results, confirming that the Italian pair equalled the World Record Junior.

The mark had previously been set by Italy’s Maria Iovinella and Francesco Tanfoglio, who scored 35 to win the Trap Mixed Team Junior title at the ISSF Junior World Championships in Suhl on 25 June.

The Porpetto final therefore saw the World Record Junior matched by another Italian pairing, adding another record moment to the 2026 junior Shotgun season.
For Archetti, the gold medal comes just one day after she took silver in the Trap Women Junior final, where she finished on 25 hits before losing the gold-medal shoot-off to Spain’s Irene Del Rey Ruiz.

The Trap Mixed Team Junior final brought the curtain down on the finals programme in Porpetto, concluding a week of competition that showcased the next generation of international Shotgun talent.
