The opening session was attended by Pawankumar Singh, Secretary General of the NRAI, who highlighted the importance of investing in the development of qualified technical officials alongside athletes.

In his address, he underlined that while athletes remain at the centre of the sport, the role of well-trained judges and coaches is fundamental to delivering fair and high-quality competitions.

He also emphasised that strengthening officiating capacity at the grassroots level contributes directly to athlete development, allowing competitors to perform with greater clarity and confidence, supported by a clear understanding of rules and procedures throughout their careers.
