On 13 March, the President of the International Shooting Sport Federation, Luciano Rossi, and ISSF Secretary General Alessandro Nicotra di San Giacomo visited the Executive Committee Meeting of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), held at the headquarters of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) in Rome, Italy.
The meeting marked an important moment for the European Olympic Movement, as representatives gathered for the signature of the agreement for the next edition of the European Games, which will take place in Istanbul in 2027.
During the occasion, the ISSF leadership was welcomed by EOC President Spyros Capralos, together with representatives of the Turkish Olympic Committee, the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sport, and the Istanbul 2027 Organising Committee, represented by Prof. Dr. Veli Ozan Çakir.
The gathering highlighted the continued cooperation between international and continental sports organizations in preparing the next edition of the European Games, which will bring together thousands of athletes from across Europe.
The ISSF leadership reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Olympic Movement and to contributing to the successful organisation of major multi-sport events, where shooting sport continues to play an important role on the international stage.
