India's Tejaswani Tejaswani won on the final day of the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany, with victory in the women's 25m pistol.

An early leader, Tejaswani was locked at the top with Zhao Taotao until the Chinese athlete fell away to finish fifth. Miriam Jako of Hungary then caught up, but the Indian surged ahead to build a lead of three at the start of the elimination stage with Jako, Zhao and the slow-starting Cheng Yen-Ching of Chinese Taipei.

While Cheng and Zhao were eliminated just outside the medals, Tejaswani still enjoyed some comfort at the top, with Jako eventually being caught by AIN's Alina Nestsiarovich, who moved into second after surviving a shoot-off with Cheng. Jako would claim the bronze medal and Tejaswani would hold onto gold after her three-point gap would only be reduced by one - beating Nestsiarovich by 31 to 29.

Italy's Luca Gerri and Maria Teresa Maccioni ensured a good ending to the competition by defeating France's Thomas Agez and Jeanne Auriche in the final of the mixed team trap event. A one-shot lead for the Italians was turned on its head in round three as France outscored them by three. That gap was reduced to one going into the final round. A combination of superb shooting from Gerri and Maccioni and some crucial misses from Auriche saw Italy score 9 to France's 5 to turn the result in their favour, finishing 37-34.

Despite losing an early lead in the bronze medal match, Fabrizio Fisichella and Martina Montani ensured another Italian win over the French, beating Paul Bayard and Chloe Dutang in a shoot-off after they were tied at 38-38.
