Women's and men's trap titles were won by Italy and the United States on the second-to-last day of the ISSF World Cup in Lima, Peru.
In the women's trap final, the Olympic top four, returned, with Italian Silvana Stanco taking the gold on this occasion.
Stanco, who finished behind Adriana Ruano of Guatemala at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and behind Penny Smith of Australia, came out on top in a close contest. Following the exits of Alessia Iezzi from Italy and Kiara Dean from Australia in fifth and sixth. Misses from Smith and Ruano gave Stanco and Mar Molne Magrina of Spain a gap at the top.
Smith would finish fourth, and with a difficult round from Ruano she took the bronze medal. Heading into the final elimination round, Stanco had a two-shot lead over Molne. With both athletes missing twice, the title went the way of Stanco for her fourth individual World Cup title. Ruano's bronze was her first individual World Cup medal.

William Hinton took the men's trap gold The men's trap title went to William Hinton with an impressive score of 47 ahead of Mauro de Filippis of Italy on 42.
De Filippis put together a strong streak at the beginning of the competition, with 19 successful hits from 20, two ahead of American Hinton, Croatia's Giovanni Cernogoraz and Yang Kun-Pi of Chinese Taipei. However, misses on shots 22 and 23 brought him level with Hinton, who then pulled a lead of one.
While Yang lost touch with the top three, Cernogoraz remained in with a chance until two misses in his last five shots, settling for bronze. Hinton was on a great run on his way to the top of the podium, scoring 20 times in a row. In contrast, De Filippis missed four of his final 10 to take silver. It was Hinton's first individual World Cup title.
In fifth and sixth place were the South Americans Leonardo Lustoza of Brazil and Argentina's Joaquin Cisneros.
In the mixed team 10m air rifle final, Norway's Jeanette Hegg Duestad and Jon-Hermann Hegg defeated Arya Borse and Rudrankksh Patil of India 17-11. After being tied at 8-8, the Norwegians pulled out a four-point cushion on their way to gold. For bronze, Wang Zifei and Song Buhan defeated Du Yuchen and Fang Shengjian 16-4 in all-Chinese match.
