ISSF Secretary General Alessandro Nicotra di San Giacomo celebrated his first year in office with a vow to continue driving positive change for shooting sports worldwide.
Nicotra di San Giacomo, who was appointed by the ISSF Executive Committee exactly one year ago, following a recommendation from President Luciano Rossi, set out three pillars in his management of the ISSF office and staff.
Firstly, to ensure ISSF’s participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was a great success, secondly, to build an optimum professional structure at ISSF with experts responsible for key units and finally, to carefully manage costs and secure new revenue streams to ensure long term financial security for ISSF.
“I am honoured to help this sport progress and would like to thank President Rossi as well the ExCo and other elected members for their full support.” said Nicotra di San Giacomo.
“We now have a clear strategic path and a talented team working hard on behalf of all our federations and athletes. Thanks to positive co-operation from all our stakeholders, the future of ISSF is very bright.”
