ISSF President Luciano Rossi discussed the future of para shooting with International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons.

President Luciano Rossi was invited to attend the 100th Governing Board meeting of the International Paralympic Committee, where he spoke to IPC President Andrew Parsons about integrating para shooting under the ISSF umbrella.

The IPC Board meeting was held in Milan, with a focus on the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games just over a year away.

President Rossi and President Parsons, alongside Italian Paralympic Committee President and IPC Board member Luca Pancalli, continued discussions over the future of the para shooting and its governance.

Currently, the IPC's World Shooting Para Sport is the governing body for para shooting, but since his election in December 2022, the ISSF President has been proactive in taking over responsibilities for the sport.

ISSF President, Luciano Rossi, said: "It was a great pleasure to be invited to the 100th meeting of the IPC’s Governing Board and to spend time with Andrew Parsons, Luca Pancalli and many other friends and colleagues from para sport.

"This was another step in the process of uniting energy and forces with para shooting, as ISSF is committed to supporting and working on behalf of all shooting sport athletes."

The ISSF will continue working with the IPC to become the recognised International Federation for para shooting.
