Guatemala shooter Sebastian Bermudez Labbe, who earned an Olympic Quota place after winning the men’s skeet at the Olympic Qualification CAT XIV Shotgun Championships, followed up with another gold in the skeet team men.

On the last day of competition in the Dominican Republic capital of Santo Domingo, Labbe and his compatriots Santiago Romero Juarez and Carlos Padilla Coronado – all competing as independents while their National Olympic Committee is suspended – secured a 6-2 win over the United States.

The US trio comprised Phillip Jungman, Jordan Sapp and Anthony Nomina.

Jungman added a gold as he partnered Julia Nelson to win the skeet mixed team event 43-38 over Mexico’s Luis Gallardo Oliveros and Gabriela Rodriguez.

Peru’s Nicolas Pacheco Espinosa and Daniella Borda Olaechea earned a 39-38 win in the bronze medal match against Chile’s Hector Flores Barahona and Francisca Crovetto Chadid.

Bronze in the skeet team men went to the Mexican trio of Carlos Segovia Gonzalez, Luis Gallardo Oliveros and Jesus Balbao Gonzalez, who earned a 7-3 win over the home nation’s Julio Dujarric Lembcke, Maximo Tavarez Corporan and Stefano Hazoury.
