First Quota Places allocated in 10m Air Rifle

The first Quotas in 10m events were allocated today at the World Championship Rifle/Pistol in Cairo, Egypt. They were won by People's Republic of China (2 Quotas), India, Italy, Czech Republic, USA, Poland, Republic of Korea.

Gold in 10m Air Rifle Men was won by Rudrankksh Balasaheb PATIL from India. In a tough fight in the Gold Medal Match, Junior World Cup medalist Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil was more accurate than his rival Danilo Dennis SOLLAZZO from Italy. The winner of the February World Cup in Cairo Danilo Dennis Solazzo won the Silver. The bronze medal took silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo-2020 Lihao SHENG from People’s Republic of China. All three athletes brought Quota places to Paris-2024 for their countries. One more Quota was won by Jiri PRIVRATSKY from Czech Republic.

 

American Alison Marie WEISZ became the world champion in 10m Air Rifle Women. The winner of the World Cups in a stubborn struggle won against Yuting HUANG from People's Republic of China. Yuting HUANG took Silver, which was her first ISSF award. Bronze was won by another athlete from the People's Republic of China, Yu ZHANG. Alison Marie WEISZ, Yuting HUANG, Julia Ewa PIOTROWSKA from Poland and Jihyeon KEUM from Republic of Korea won Quotas in this event.

 

Yuqian PANG and Linshu DU from the People's Republic of China took first place in the 50m Rifle Prone Mixed Team Junior. Adela ZRUSTOVA and Vojtech ZABOREC from Czech Republic, Katie Lorraine ZAUN and Rylan William KISSELL from USA finished in second and third places respectively.

 

Tomorrow Quotas will be allocated in 10m Air Pistol Men and Women events. Juniors will determine medals in 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men Junior and 25m Pistol Women Junior. Watch it live on the ISSF internet resources.
