Kirsty Hegarty and Erik Varga claim gold medals at ISSF World Cup in Lonato

First finals in Trap individual events take place today at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun in Lonato, Italy. The medals were won by athletes from Great Britain, Slovakia, Croatia, Puerto Rico, Spain and Lebanon.

World Championship medalist-2018 Kirsty HEGARTY from Great Britain won Gold in Trap Women. She became the best among 68 athletes. Augusta Rose CAMPOS-MARTYN from Puerto Rico finished second and took her first individual ISSF World Cup medal. World Cup winner and medalist Ray BASSIL from Lebanon won Bronze.

 

In Trap Men, 131 athletes competed for reaching the final. The fate of the Gold Medal was decided only by the results of the shoot off, which was won by the winner and medalist of the World Championships Erik VARGA from Slovakia. Silver was won by Rio 2016 Olympic champion Josip GLASNOVIC from Croatia. The third place and the first individual medal of the World Cup was won by Adria MARTINEZ TORRES from Spain.
