Petar Gorsa and Anna Janssen took first Gold medals in Rio de Janeiro

The ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol has begun in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The finals are held according to the formats which the IOC Executive Board has approved for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

 

The first winner of the competition is Petar GORSA from Croatia, the 2018 World Championship medalist and World Cup winner and medalist. In the Gold Medal Match, the athlete confidently defeated the winner and prize-winner of the World Cups Sergey RICHTER from Israel. Third place went to the bronze medalist of European Championship-2022 Miran MARICIC, also representing Croatia.

 

Anna JANSSEN from Germany won her first World Cup medal in the 10m Air Rifle Women. The youngest participant in the final, a vice-champion of the European Championship-2022 Ocean MULLER from France won the Silver. Bronze medal went to the European Champion-2020 Laura-Georgeta ILIE from Romania.
