William Shaner won the first Gold in shooting sport for USA.

William defeated 47 athletes from 33 countries in the 10m Air rifle Men and set a record in the Final.

\r\n

The youngest competitor in the Final, 16-year-old Lihao Sheng from the People's Republic of China, came in second. The other athlete from the People's Republic of China, Haoran Yang, won Bronze.

\r\n

Tomorrow athletes will compete for their first medals in Shotgun in Skeet.
