There were four quotas available in 25m Pistol Women. The first two were won by Gold winner Naphaswan Yangpaiboon from Thailand and runner up Gundegmaa Otryad from Mongolia. The Bronze medal went to Jingjing Zhang from the People’s Republic of China, but the quotas went to Chinki Yadav from India and Tanyaporn Prucksakorn from Thailand, who finished 6th and 7th respectively.
It was quite the opposite scenario in 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women. As the Gold and Silver medal winners Mengyao Shi from the People’s Republic of China and Yesugen Oyunbat from Mongolia had quotas from the previous competitions, the three available quotas in this event went to Bronze winner Shiori Hirata from Japan, fourth placed Tejaswini Sawant from India and fifth placed Fatemeh Karamzadeh from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The first ever Trap Mixed Team competitions at the Asian Championships were won by Sarah Alhawal and Abdulrahman Al Faihan from Kuwait who were just a little more precise in the Gold Medal Match than Weiyun Deng and Weidong He from the People’s Republic of China.
In the Bronze Medal Match Wan-Yu Liu and Kun-Pi Yang from Chinese Taipei won against Anastassiya Davydova and Maxim Kolomoyets from Kazakhstan.
Two new World records were set in the Juniors competitions. India scored a fantastic 1721 points in 10m Air Pistol Women Juniors Team event, which is 11 points more than the previous record. Hao Yu from China, established a new world record in 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men Juniors with an impressive 459,5 points.
