Indian shooters dominated in Brazil, winning 4 medals in the final day of the World Cup

Two medals were won by athletes from the People’s Republic of China.

Mixed Team Events completed the line up of the shooting events at the ISSF Rifle/Pistol World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Final saw Apurvi Chandela and Deepak Kumar from India take Gold.

Qian Yang and Haonan Yu from the People’s Republic of China won Silver.

Bronze medal was won by another Indian Team represented by Anjum Moudgil and Divyansh Singh Panwar. 

The 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Competition, saw a dramatic final with the Gold Medal being decided in a closely fought shoot off between two Indian Teams.  In the end Manu Bhaker and Chaudhary Saurabh were victorious in claiming the Gold medal, and their compatriots, Yashaswini Singh Deswal and Abhishek Verma, had to settle for the Silver medal. 

Third place went to Ranxin Jiang and Wei Pang from the People’s Republic of China. 

Both of these countries were also at the top of the Medal standings, India finishing first with the People’s Republic of China coming in second position. 

The live TV coverage of the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro has been organized by the ISSF. It was broadcasted by the Olympic Channel as well as by many other countries from around the world.

This was the last World Cup stage of 2019 events in Rifle/Pistol.
