Finland, the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation claim the three individual titles up for grabs.

Four Running Target events took place at the Changwon International Shooting Range, where the 52nd ISSF World Championship in all events will close on Friday 14th.

10m Running Target Mixed Men

Tomi-Pekka Heikkila of Finland prevailed over 35-year-old Lukasz Czapla of Poland in a tight duel for the 10m Running Target Mixed Men title.

The Finnish 28-year-old nailed two 194-point series, finishing with 388 and building a small but significant gap on his Polish rival, who finished with 386 and the silver medal around his neck. It’s the first World Championship gold medal for Heikkila as a senior shooter.

The bronze was awarded to Russian Federation’s Mikhail Azarenko (27), who won a three way shoot-off against 28-year-old Kwon Kwang Il of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and 28-year-old Ngo Huu Vuong of Vietnam, after they all finished with 385 points.

The team gold medal went to Sweden with 1147 points, while the Russian Federation took silver with 1137 and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea took bronze with 1135.

10m Running Target Mixed Men Junior

17-year-old Egor Spekhov of the Russian Federation nailed a great 190-point series in the second run of the 10m Running Target Mixed Men Junior, climbing on the highest step of the podium and taking gold with the combined score of 378 points.

Ukraine’s Danylo Danilenko (16) followed him in 2nd place with 375 points, while the bronze medal was awarded to Kazakhstan’s 18-year-old Andrey Khudyakov, who scored 374 points.

In the team event — which was contested as a gran prix for not reaching the minimum number of participants — Ukraine took 1st place and the Russian Federation finished in 2nd position.

10m Running Target Mixed Women

People’s Republic of China’s 33-year-old shooter Su Li raised the bar in the 10m Running Target Mixed Women event, dominating the match with the final score of 391 points and marking a new World Record.

Nine points behind, her teammate Li Xue Yan (32) bagged the silver medal with 382, while Russian Federation’s 48-year-old Irina Izmalkova completed the podium in 3rd position, scoring 375 points.

On the team podium, 1st place was taken by the People’s Republic of China with 1125 points, followed by Ukraine, who won silver with 1101, and by the Russian Federation, who took bronze with 1097.

10m Running Target Mixed Women Junior

Both the individual and team event of the 10m Running Target Mixed Women Junior were also contested as grand prix, since the minimum number of participant were not reached.

19-year-old Anna Kostina of the Russian Federation finished in 1st place, followed in 2nd by Armenia’s 19-year-old Gohar Vardanyan and in 3rd by People’s Republic of China’s 14-year-old Cai Yanxian.
