During the celebrations of the 91st anniversary of the Club Cinegético Jalisciense, the Local Organizing Committee of the ISSF World Cup in Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun events expected to take place in Guadalajara (MEX) in March 2018 officially announced that construction works for the requested additional infrastructure has begun.
During the opening ceremony, the President of the Local Organizing Committee Mr. Leopoldo Carrillo and the President of the same Club Cinegético Jalisciense Mr. Oscar Diaz stated: “We are glad to announce the construction of an additional bunker, a 25m range and a Finals Hall, all required for the organization of the upcoming ISSF World Cup.”
Also adding: “With these new buildings, Mexico and the members of the Club will have some first class infrastructures to practice in all the Olympic Shooting disciplines. and we committed to support them on their road to the ISSF World Cup that will take place next year in Guadalajara.”
All the members of the LOC were present during the ceremony, including the athletes and coaches of the Mexican Shotgun Team.
The ISSF World Cup in Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun events in Guadalajara will be the third major event held at the Club Cinegético Jalisciense: in 2011 the venue hosted the shooting events of the Pan-American Games, while in 2014 it welcomed the athletes of XI Championship of Americas, a competition that the Club will also host in 2018.
