The 2016 ISSF Junior World Cup is about to start in Suhl

The first stage of the renewed junior competition will take place at the Suhl Shooting Centre in Suhl (GER), where the first ISSF Youth World Championship will take place next year. The 15 Olympic Shooting events will take place, as well as two non-Olympic ones and two international mixed events.

The 2016 season of the International Shooting Sport Federation already experienced three World Cup stages in Bangkok (THA), Nicosia (CYP) and Rio de Janeiro (BRA), and it’s time for the younger athletes to take the main stage for a while.

 

The first Junior World Cup of the season, indeed, kicked off today in Suhl (GER), where 585 junior athletes representing 48 different countries, will compete from tomorrow, May 1st, to Thursday May 5th, piling up 926 starts and battling for the 15 Gold medals up for grabs in this competition.

 

The Suhl Shooting Centre will also host the first edition of the ISSF Youth World Championship in 2017.

 

The ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl will assign its first two Gold medal tomorrow: the 50m Rifle Prone Men Junior at 1:00 PM (UTC+2), and the Double Trap Men Junior at 4:00 PM.
