Tourism and Sport Minister of Thailand Kobern Wattanavrangkul visits the ISSF World Cup in Bangkok

The Minister expressed her support to the ISSF and to the Organizing Committee of the ISSF World Cup.

The Minister of Tourism and Sport of Thailand, Mrs. Kobern Wattanavrangkul, visited the Shooting Range of the National Shooting Sport Association of Thailand in Bangkok, where the first ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup is held from the 1st through the 8th of March.

 

The Minister visited the installations together with the ISSF Technical Delegate for this competition, Mr. Willi Grill, and with. Mr. Nattuvut Ruengvej, Deputy governor of sports Authority of Thailand, Lieutenant General David Chinbunchon, President of the National Shooting Association of Thailand.

 

Mrs. Kobern Wattanavrangkul also expressed her support to the ISSF and to the organization of shooting sport events in the country.

 

“This is one of the best ISSF World Cups I have ever traveled to,” said Mr. Grill.

 

“I would like to thank the Organizing Committee, the National Shooting Sport Federation of Thailand, and the local authorities that supported us and the competition in behalf of the International Shooting Sport Federation. We had an excellent collaboration, and I believe we delivered a great competition.”

 

“I hope we will come back here soon!”

 

The 2016 World Cup in Bangkok, where 330 athletes coming from 49 countries competed in the 10 Rifle and Pistol Olympic shooting events, was closed today. Find here the medals standings and the list of all medalists and record setters (link)
