131 days after the closing of the 2015 season, the ISSF World Cup Series is back, debuting with the first Rifle and Pistol stage in Bangkok (THA). 333 athletes will participate in the competition, representing 49 countries and five continents, adding up to 523 starts.
The competition schedule includes the 10 Olympic Shooting events of the two disciplines, and will award its first Gold medal on March 3rd, when the 10m Air Rifle Men final will take place. The complete program of the 10 medal events is the following:

The ISSF World Cup Series will then move on to Nicosia (CYP) for the first World Cup stage in Shotgun events of the year, taking place from March 17th to March 25th. In April, an Olympic test-event will be held in Rio de Janeiro (BRA), where a combined ISSF World Cup stage will take place at Olympic Shooting Centre of Rio, in Deodoro.
Munich (GER) and San Marino will host the two following stages, respectively in Rifle/Pistol and Shotgun events, while another combined stage will seal the 2016 ISSF World Cup season in Baku (AZE) from June 20th to June 29th.
