María Quintanal, Jorge Guardiola, Eladio Vallduvi, Maria Garcia Cubas and Pilar Fernandez will be the Spanish "Ambassadors" at the next World Championship in Granada, Spain (2014, Sept. 6-20).

The five Ambassadors, as the Royal Spanish Shooting Federation (RSSF) outlined, are "referents of our sport, both nationally and internationally, winning titles and taking the Spanish Olympic Shooting to the highest levels in history." The Spanish Olympic Shooting Federation arranged for them to meet the media for lunch in Madrid, Spain's capital city.

At the event, there were also ISSF President Olegario Vazquez Rana, President of the Spanish Olympic Committee Alexander D. White, and RSSF President and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the World championship D. Rodrigo de Mesa.

The High Performance Specializing Centre Juan Carlos I of Las Gavias, Granada, Spain, will host the competition. The facilities will be home to 55 different specialties and will welcome 110 countries with over 4,000 athletes - which will fight for 64 Olympic Quota Places for Rio 2016.

This is going to be the second time in history for Spain to hold a World Championship edition.
