ISSF Junior Cup Suhl | 50m Rifle 3 Positions, 25m Pistol and 50m Rifle Prone finals

On Day 5, France takes two individual gold medals; Russia, one. Team titles for Germany and Russia.

Last Thursday, Day 5 of the ISSF Junior Cup in Suhl, there were 3 final events: 50m Rifle 3 Positions (Men), 25m Pistol and 50m Rifle Prone (both Women Junior; the latter, non-Olympic).

Vladimir Maslennikov won the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men event. The 19-year old of Russia got away with 456.9 rings, beating Germany's Mario Nittel (455.2) and Finland's Joni Stentström (441.8).
Germany was luckier in the team event, where it came 1
st thanks to Andre Link, Mario Nittel and Christoph Kaulich (3474 rings in total); Russia (3466) and Finland (3456) followed.

France's Mathilde Lamolle had the best of Russia's Anastasia Ryzhiik in the gold medal match of the 25m Pistol Women Junior event (7-1). Same result in the fight for the bronze, where Natalia Ordina of Russia outdid her fellow countrywoman Daria Lopatina.

Russia I also took the team event, with 1710 rings; Russia II was 2nd (1706); Poland, 3rd (1760).


Another individual victory for France came in the 50m Rifle Prone Women Junior event (a non-Olympic discipline). Ines Niewada led the standings with 622.1 rings, leaving behind Germany's Jolyn Beer (621.4) and Lena Cramer (618.2).

Germany I, though, secured the team title with 1853.7 rings (by Jolyn Beer, Selina Gschwandtner and Patricia Piepjohn); 2nd place went to France (1846.6); 3rd, to Germany II (1842.2).
