2012 ISSF World Cup Series kicks off from Tucson, USA

The first Shotgun World Cup of the season will start on the 23rd of March in Tucson, Arizona, where more than 250 shooters will participate in one of the last international shotgun matches before the Olympic Games.

The 2012 ISSF World Cup Series is yet to start: more than 250 shooters will participate in this year’s first Shotgun World Cup Stage, taking place March 23-31, in Tucson, USA.

 

Competitors coming from 43 different nations are set to descend upon the Arizona desert, to competed in the five Olympic Shotgun events in Trap, Skeet and Double Trap disciplines. (Check the schedule of the event at: http://www.issf-sports.org/calendar/championship.ashx?cshipid=1293)

 

The Tucson Trap and Skeet Club, founded in 1948 and an USA Shooting training centre since 2009, is considered one of the oldest and largest clubs in USA. This year, the club will host the ISSF World Cup Series for the first time.

 

The 2012 ISSF World Cup Series will then move to London, where the pre-Olympic World Cup in all events is set to take place from the 17th through the 29th of April, then in Lonato, Italy, where the last Shotgun World Cup stage prior the Olympic Games will take place from the 1st through the 8th of May.
