The list of the Olympic Quota Places assigned during the 2011 ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Beijing.
Ten Olympic Quota Places were assigned during the 2011 ISSF Shotgun World Cup held on the layouts of the 2008 Olympic Shooting Range of Beijing, China.
What’s a Quota Place?
An Olympic Quota place is the “entry ticket” to send an athlete at the next Olympic Games, in London, in 2012. Only a total of 390 shooters will indeed be able to compete in the 15 shooting events at the next Games. Quota places are generally awarded to top performers in designated events, such as the 2010 ISSF World Championship and the 2011 ISSF World Cup Series. A Quota Place guarantees that someone from a given country - not necessarily the athlete who earned it - will be competing in that Olympic event.
