First Gold medals for Australia and Italy

The first Gold medals of the World Championship were won by athletes from Australia and Italy.

Today at the ISSF World Championship Shotgun which takes place in Osijek, Croatia, athletes competed for medals in the Trap Women Junior and Men Junior events.

 

All six medalists won ISSF competition awards for the first time.

 

Kiara Sioux-Lin DEAN from Australia took first place among Women Junior. In a bitter struggle, she outpaced Ting HAN from People's Republic of China in a shoot off. Bronze went to Breanna Maree Dowse COLLINS from Australia.

 

The first two places among Men Junior were won by the Italians Gianmarco BARLETTA and Emanuele IEZZI, who took first and second places, respectively. The third is Juho Johannes MAEKELAE from Finland.
