India takes 7 medals on the first day of the ISSF World Cup Junior in Suhl

The ISSF World Cup Junior Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun has begun in Suhl, Germany and will continue until May 20th.

More than 500 athletes from 50 countries of the world participate in the competitions, including winners of junior competitions and debutants of ISSF tournaments.

 

On the first day, 7 medals out of 12 were immediately won by the Indian team.

 

The first medals were played in 10m Air Rifle Men Junior. The two best results were shown by athletes from India. Gold won Rudrankksh Balasaheb PATIL, Silver - Abhinav SHAW. The third place was taken by the German athlete Nils PALBERG.

 

The winner and medalist of the European Women's Championships Oceanne MULLER from France took first place in the 10m Air Rifle Women Junior. Ramita RAMITA from India and Julia Ewa PIOTROWSKA from Poland won Silver and Bronze respectively.

 

In 10m Air Pistol Men Junior again the Indians took the first two places. Shiva NARWAL won Gold, Sarabjot SINGH won Silver. The third was Mukhammad KAMALOV from Uzbekistan.

 

Palak PALAK from India won the 10m Air Pistol Women Junior and her teammate Manu BHAKER finished on second place. The third place was taken by Anna DULCE from the Republic of Moldova.

 

Tomorrow the athletes will compete for medals in the 10m Mixed Team events and individual Trap events.
