Amendments to the ISSF Ranking System

The Executive Committee has approved several amendments to the ISSF Ranking system. In particular:
 
  1. The maximum number of the ISSF Championships that will count for the 2022 World Ranking is four (4). Athletes can compete in all events during the year but only the four (4) best results with the most points for each athlete in each event will count to the 2022 World Ranking.
  2. The maximum number of the ISSF Championships that will count for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Qualification Ranking (QROG) is ten (10). Athletes can compete in all Qualifying competitions during the Olympic Qualification period but only the 10 (ten) best results with the most points for each athlete in each event will count to the QROG.
  3. The level of ranking points allocated at the Continental Games/ Continental Championship with Quota Places is elevated to the level of the ISSF World Cups.
Besides, clarification has been given to situations when athletes non eligible to compete in the Final for the medals according to article 7.5.4 ISSF General Regulations are positioned after Qualification among the qualified athletes for the Final. 
Also, a special provision explains how to allocate ranking points if one or more athlete(s) eligible for the Final have the same result than the last qualified athlete for the Final.
