The Skeet Men Team was won by Luigi Lodde, Tammaro Cassandro, and Gabriele Rossetti who were more accurate than Mikkel Petersen, Jesper Hansen, and Emil Kjelgaard Petersen from Denmark in the Gold medal match. The fight for the Bronze was won by the French Emmanuel Petit, Eric Delaunay, and Anthony Terras.
-This is new event, very amazing. It was quietly surprising but full of emotions. I think this is a formula which can give a lot of spectators in future. It’s very good and I’m happy about Italian team of course, - said the CONI President Giovanni Malagò.
Italians Diana Bacosi, Chiara Cainero, and Chiara Di Marziantonio beat American athletes Amber English, Austen Jewell Smith, and Samantha Simonton in the fight for Gold. The third place was taken by Lucia Kopcanova, Veronika Sykorova, and Danka Bartekova from Slovakia.
-The new format is interesting, it’s important to have Team competitions. It was nice experience for us. I’m sure that when we will explain to the audience this format it will be interesting. Just everyone should know how points are achievable, - says the Bronze medallist Danka Bartekova.
-For us it’s good to have many competitions specially now when we did’t participate anywhere for 2 years. So it’s good to participate not only in Individual but in Team events as well. But in my opinion if we have it during World Cups we should have it at Olympics as well. So I hope it’s the beginning to bring Teams and Mixed Teams to the next Olympic Games. It’s good to compete as a Team, to stay all 3 together, fight together for a medal. For our teammate, Chiara Di Marziantonio, it’s the first medal. And the points system during medal matches is interesting because you never know when it will stop. You can be on the second position but if the other team lose some targets you can come up, so it’s nice, - agree with Danka the winner Chiara Cainero.
