Key talks bring united future of ISSF and World Shooting Para Sport closer

Key issues regarding the joint future of World Shooting Para Sport and the ISSF were raised today in a landmark meeting at the ISSF headquarters in Munich.

ISSF President Luciano Rossi and Secretary General Alessandro Nicotra di San Giacomo held “highly successful” strategic discussions with Christian Holz, Managing Director of World Para Sports.

“I am satisfied with the outcome of this important meeting,” President Rossi announced.

“The prerequisites for a common development of Paralympic activity have finally been set in motion.

“I see this topic as a great cultural and sporting achievement.

“Forward together!”

The topic of working together with Paralympic athletes was an important part of President Rossi’s successful campaign ahead of the election on November 30, 2022 where he attained his current position.

"We are working hard to integrate with the Paralympic shooters," he said shortly after taking over the post. "It is one other goal that I have in my heart, the united capacity of Olympic and Paralympic shooting.

"Now they are too separate, with no connection. With our good relations, good connection - only if we are united we can become stronger."
