ISSF Academy conducts Olympic Solidarity Technical Course in Georgia

The course was held in Georgia’s capital city Tbilisi from the 9th to the 11th of November, and 24 aspiring Shotgun coaches participated.

A high number of participants from all over the country attended the ISSF Academy Olympic Solidarity Course, held in Tbilisi (GEO) from November 9th to November 11th.

 

Twenty-four aspiring Shotgun coaches successfully completed the D-Course, led by ISSF Academy tutor Emin Jafarov of Azerbaijan and held in Georgia for the first time ever.

 

The course was organized by the National Olympic Committee and the National Shooting Federation of Georgia and it took place over a three days period, covering the essential topics of the D-Course: fundamental techniques of clay shooting, planning and organization, introduction to training plans and physical training. All the students displayed great interest and actively participated in the workshop discussions.

 

The course also saw the attendance of Mr. Emzar Zenaishvili, Secretary General of the Georgian National Olympic Committee, who said: “Georgia always had a very good tradition in shooting sport, especially in the shotgun discipline, and we believe this course is our next step to help developing a young shooting generation in our country.”
