Olympic Solidarity Course held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan

The ISSF Academy Olympic Solidarity Technical Course for Rifle and Pistol coaches was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 5th through the 12th of September 2017.

An ISSF Academy Olympic Solidarity Technical Course for Rifle/Pistol coaches was held in Tashkent (UZB) from the 5th to the 12th of September 2017.

 

A total of 40 participants in disciplines attended the course led by Pistol tutor Sonal Ramendra and Rifle tutor Leif Steinar Rolland. The course was well organized by the National Olympic Committee and National Federation of Uzbekistan. 

 

The Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Sport Shooting Federation, Mr. Jaloliddin Atabullaev. expressed his gratitude: “Thanks to the ISSF Academy and to the tutors, Ms Sonal Ramendra and Mr Rolland shared their knowledge and gave a modern vision to our coaches. The national federation of Uzbekistan will continue to promote the shooting sport in the region and is planning to proceed in organizing seminars for coaches and judges in order to be in step with the times.”

 

Mr Aziz Aliev, the NOC Sport Federation Coordinator, commented: “The knowledge and experience shared was of great value. We will keep on supporting and holding this course for our coaches, with the aim to achieve the highest results. On behalf of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, I want to thank the ISSF, the IOC Olympic Solidarity and tutors for proving this opportunity.”

 

“It was a very positive learning environment during the course. To invest in coaches educational programs is already a step ahead in the development of the sport in a country. The NOC and national federation had organized the course with must excellence and passion,” said Sonal Ramendra.

 

“These days in Uzbekistan have been very interesting. Seeing all the eager to learn, it is important to continue having courses so we can develop this beautiful sport,” said Leif Steinar Rolland.
