Proposed new ISSF Constitution draft now available for download

The draft has been distributed to all ISSF Member Federations and it’s now published online. All recommendations and comments should be submitted to the ISSF Headquarter within 11 April 2016. The final draft will be presented to the ISSF General Assembly in Moscow (RUS) on 1 and 2 July 2016.

This official communication is a follow-up to the ISSF circular dated 1 April 2015 in which we informed the ISSF Member Federations that ISSF Vice-President Vladimir Lisin was designated to coordinate a review of the ISSF Constitution.

Since then a lot of work had been done to create a new draft Constitution. Many Member Federations, officials and interested persons sent proposals to the ISSF.

These proposals were evaluated for possible inclusion in the new draft.

The ISSF Statutes Committee played a very important role in this work as well. The outcome is a draft that was just reviewed and recommended for approval by the ISSF Executive Committee when it met in Munich on 1st March 2016.

After making some additional amendments, we are now publishing a draft of the proposed new ISSF Constitution, which has also been distributed to all ISSF Member Federation for their review in a circular dated 10 March 2016.

The draft of the proposed new ISSF Constitution is now available for download at: http://www.issf-sports.org/getfile.aspx?mod=docf&pane=1&inst=31&iist=29&file=Constitution-V7-draft-10032016.pdf

We kindly ask all ISSF Member Federations to study the draft and send any recommendations or comments to ISSF Headquarters within the next four weeks, but latest before Monday, 11 April 2016.

This will allow us to make any additional changes that may be necessary.

It will be highly appreciated if Member Federations that do not have any comments regarding the draft Constitution would also inform ISSF Headquarters about this.

All interested persons are encouraged to send us any comment or recommendations for improvement before the deadline.

Comments on the draft Constitution should be sent to the following email address: lemme@issf-sports.org

After the comment period, the ISSF will prepare a final draft that will be sent to all Member Federations at least two months before the 2016 ISSF General Assembly in Moscow. After that, only editorial or technical corrections may be accepted for discussion.

We kindly ask all of you to help us produce an excellent final draft that can be presented to the ISSF General Assembly on 1 and 2 July 2016 in Moscow for approval as the new ISSF Constitution.

We thank all of you for your kind cooperation and look forward to your responses and comments.

With best regards,
