After one day off, the Larnaca World Cup is back with Double Trap

Tomorrow it will be Day 4 at the World Cup in Larnaca, Cyprus.

The competition's third event will undergo both its qualifications and its finals--the men's Double Trap. The qualifications will run from 8 am to 3:20 pm (EEST). The finals will start at 4:30 pm.

The men's Double Trap will follow the competition's first two events, which took place on Day 1 and Day 2--Italy's Diana Bacosi won the women's skeetSaif Bin Futtais of the United Arab Emirates, the men's skeet.

The first noteworthy name in the start list of the men's Double Trap is that of Jeffrey Holguin. The 36-year-old of the USA, who is first in his discipline's world ranking, has already won a World Cup gold medal this season--in Acapulco, Holguin took over China's Hu and teammate Haldeman. Holguin has also won the World Cup Final title last year in Gabala.

Derek Haldeman, 23 and ranked seventh in the world, will compete against Holguin again. He will try to win the first World Cup gold in his career. Haldeman won bronze at last year's Continental American Championships.

Another gold medalist from this season will be in the qualifications--Russia's Vasily Mosin, ranked third in the world, who came in first at the World Cup in Al Ain. There, Mosin, 42, won a Rio 2016 quota place as he defeated Italian shooters Marco Innocenti and Davide Gasparini. Mosin has also won a World Cup gold in Cyprus just two years ago.

Mosin will meet his teammate Vitaly Fokeev on the range. Ranked fifth in the world, the 41-year-old Fokeev has won his last World Cup gold last year in Beijing, China.
